The band called The Three Teadies was established in the summer of 2009 by Szasza, Ede and Marci, the well-known members of Tizenhét. Their aim was to make the early reggae and rocksteady genres more popular in Hungary. They try to keep up the traditions of their previous project, the short-termed but successful Soulbang, which was the first formation of an early reggae band in Hungary.
The Three Teadies’s repertoire beside the own songs, includes among other songs Prince Buster’s legendary Judge Dread, Desmond Dekker’s Israelites, Alton Ellis’s Rocksteady or King Horror’s Loch Ness Monster. The good mood is guaranteed by the easily dancable rocksteady, the elated and dashing early reggae rhythms and by the unique personality of Szasza accompanied by the band’s great performance. All the member gained experience from playing in other famous ska and reggae bands.
The Three Teadies released its first EP entitled Rocket In My Pocket in the spring of 2010. The band has won the first place award on PEN festival.
It's worth coming to know the band also for the lovers of jamaican music and for pleasure-seekers.
